Two members of a much larger, more established mystic society decided they would start a group that existed solely to ride in a parade.
"I love to ride," co-founder Kenny Boguski said, "but if you're in a night parade and have a ball to go to, you're at it from 8 in the morning until 1 a.m. or so."
The Mobile Mystical Revelers also strives to keep the amount of dues low. Annual dues at this point are $250 per person. Admission is open to anyone over the age of 21. There are comparatively few rules and no secrecy, so riders are not required to wear masks. Anyone who is interested in joining can simply go to the group's Facebook page by clicking here.

The Mystical Revelers paraded this year on February 18, right behind the Mobile Mystics, who started at 2 p.m. The parade included eight floats rented from the Order of Polka Dots.
